The YATO Induction Tester YT-28313 is designed for detecting alternating voltage in electric wires across two ranges: 12-1000V and 48-1000V. This tester allows users to safely identify voltage without direct contact, mitigating the risk associated with testing live wires. The presence of voltage is indicated both by an LED light and an audible signal.
FUNCTIONS OF THE TESTER
INDUCTIVE METHOD
The blade of the YT-28313 utilizes the principle of electromagnetic induction. When brought near a live AC wire, the tester emits a pulsing green LED and sound. The pulse rate increases with the strength of the electromagnetic field. Additionally, this method allows for the detection of breaks in live wires without direct contact; if a break is detected, the tester will stop signaling voltage presence. Pressing the button labeled "S" increases the tester's sensitivity, thereby extending its operational range.
