With a compact construction, the materials used, and special inserts at the tongue, the shoes effectively limit water penetration and absorption. The certified footbed and the plastic anti-puncture insert are lighter than their steel counterparts. The elastic insole, made from a material used in bulletproof vests, remains flexible and does not restrict metatarsal flexion.
