  PE vs PVC and other differences:

  The YATO heat shrink solder sleeves are manufactured from polyethylene (PE), featuring an optimal amount of solder binder and thermal glue rings. The advantages of PE over PVC include:

  • higher shrink ratio: PE has a 3:1 ratio compared to PVC's 2:1, allowing for better coverage of the cable and compatibility with larger diameters.
  • maintaining flexibility even in sub-zero temperatures, whereas PVC can stiffen and crack in the cold.
  • greater resistance to abrasion, punctures, and chemicals.

PE material is effective not only for domestic applications but also in environments with extreme temperatures, such as automotive settings near hot components.

The right amount of solder binder used in YATO tin shrink sleeves ensures a strong and durable bond. Unlike cheaper alternatives that use minimal solder, YATO provides a robust connection suitable for larger wire cross-sections.

Another critical feature is the sealing adhesive, made from a specially formulated hot glue. This adhesive remains flexible and does not degrade over time, unlike inexpensive options that may crumble when exposed to elements.
