The YATO Foam Gun YT-6745 is designed for the application of polyurethane foams. It is made with high-quality materials including stainless steel, aluminum, and brass, ensuring durability. The most wear-prone parts are additionally protected with a PTFE coating to prevent corrosion.
Purpose:
This installation foam gun is intended for applying single-component foam that comes in pressurized containers.
The gun simplifies tasks such as:
Instructions for Use:
1. Starting Work:
Shake the foam container vigorously for about 15 seconds. Screw in the adjustment screw located at the back of the gun until it completely blocks the movement of the trigger lever. Remove the lid from the foam container and screw it into the gun nut until you feel resistance. Then unscrew the adjustment screw until resistance is felt. Press the trigger lever to fill the gun with foam.
Your gun is now ready for use. A stream of foam will dispense when the trigger lever is pressed, and releasing it will stop the flow. You can adjust the volume of the foam stream using the adjustment screw.
2. After Completing Work:
Turn the adjustment screw to block the movement of the trigger lever. It is recommended to keep a partially filled foam container screwed onto the gun to maintain pressure inside, preventing the foam from drying in the gun. If you stop using the gun for over a month, clean it with a mounting foam cleaner.
Avoid allowing foam to dry inside the gun, as it can only be removed mechanically and may cause obstructions.
3. Reusing the Gun:
Shake the gun with the attached foam container vigorously for about 15 seconds. Cut off the tip of any hardened foam with a sharp knife. Turn the adjustment screw counterclockwise and release enough foam until the stream becomes uniform. Your gun is now ready for use.
4. Replacing the Container:
If foam stops dispensing from the container, replace it with a new one. To ensure the new container is unobstructed, point the nozzle towards a waste container and press the trigger lever until it is free of blockages. Install the new container immediately without cleaning the gun and follow the previous steps.
5. Cleaning the Gun:
Unscrew the container from the gun. Attach the spray tip to a cleaning agent container and clean the residual fresh foam from the gun. Remove the spray tip and attach the cleaning agent container. Fill the gun with the cleaning agent and let it sit for about 10 minutes. Press the trigger lever again to clean the inside of the gun with the fresh cleaner. Finally, unscrew the cleaning agent container and wipe any residue from the junction of the container and gun, applying a thin layer of petroleum jelly.
Do not use corrosive agents for cleaning the gun.
If used continuously, the gun should be cleaned as described above every 2-3 months.
Usage Warnings:
Warning! Always use personal safety equipment while working.
