The YATO YT-82456 soldering station features a large 3.5" LCD display, temperature control, and multiple functions designed to assist you in making proper soldering connections. The station is compatible with the 908D soldering tip, which is well-suited for the popular 900M series interchangeable heads.
The YT-82456 soldering station is designed to be ESD-safe, preventing the accumulation of excess electrostatic charge on its casing. This feature reduces the risk of damaging sensitive SMD circuits. It heats up to an operational temperature of 350°C in approximately 25 seconds.
The Temperature Stabilization function maintains the set temperature of the soldering tip under varying conditions, ensuring optimal soldering performance. The soldering tip emits different amounts of heat based on the size of the soldering element and the region being soldered. With a built-in temperature sensor, the device continuously monitors the actual temperature and adjusts power consumption to keep the desired temperature. For best results, choose a tip whose inner diameter closely matches that of the heater, ideally in the range of 4.0 to 4.5 mm.
The Temperature Calibration function allows users to recalibrate the built-in temperature sensor. Depending on the tip's quality, size, and wear, experienced users can adjust the sensor for more accurate readings, contributing to better temperature stabilization and avoiding overheating connections in PCBs.
The Hibernation Function puts the station into standby mode, automatically reducing the operational temperature to 200°C, which extends the lifespan of the tip. The YT-82456 allows users to set the inactivity time before the station enters standby, ranging from 1 to 240 minutes. Heating the tip from 200°C to 350°C takes about 5 seconds!
The Sensor Failure Detection function allows for auto-diagnosis of the electronic components necessary for the proper operation of the device. The station undergoes self-diagnosis upon powering on and will display an error message in case of any issues.
The Settings Memory Function allows users to save their preferred temperature settings across three memory channels, enabling quick access to previously saved settings.
The Device Lock function prevents unauthorized access to change settings by requiring a three-digit password for any adjustments after setup.
The Sound Operation Signaling function can be turned on or off to enable audible signaling when the unit is ready for operation. The station emits a single beep to indicate it’s prepared to operate at the set temperature.
