The YATO YT-2357 spray gun is designed for efficient paint application, utilizing compressed air to create a fine mist of paint for smooth and even coverage.
Instructions for Use
Getting Started
Begin by tightening the nozzle with a wrench. Ensure all connections in the compressed air supply system are secure. Before connecting the supply hose, blow it out with air to clear any debris. Make certain that the coating material tank is properly cleaned and maintained, ensuring a secure connection for optimal performance.
Adjusting the Width of the Spray Jet
You can change the width and shape of the spray jet by rotating the air nozzle. The jet can be adjusted from flat to round as needed. Use the coating material quantity adjustment knob to control the amount of material delivered to the air stream, while the spray adjustment knob regulates the intensity of the mix. For better distribution, it is advisable to optimize the mixture for the smallest possible coating particles.
Working with the Gun
Maintain a distance of 10 to 15 cm between the gun outlet and the surface to be coated, keeping the gun perpendicular to the surface. Avoid sweeping movements to prevent uneven distribution of the paint. Multiple thin layers are recommended over a single thick application.
Adjustment of Air Flow
Select the appropriate amount of compressed air based on the type of coating material by adjusting the air pressure control knob.
Replacing the Nozzle
Ensure the entire nozzle set, which includes the coating material nozzle, needle, and air nozzle, is replaced when necessary.
Needle Seal
Regularly check the integrity of the sealing pin during operation. Replace it if significantly worn during routine inspections using a wrench to remove the seal assembly.
Cleaning and Maintenance
After use, disconnect the gun from the compressed air system and empty the tank. Clean all components thoroughly to ensure optimal performance. The air nozzle should be cleaned with a brush dipped in solvent; never immerse the entire gun. Avoid using hard objects to clear clogged orifices, as even slight internal damage can affect spray parameters. After cleaning, apply a small amount of lubricant to moving seal parts and ensure the coating material nozzle is tightened adequately to prevent leaks while allowing smooth needle movement.
