Resistance Soldering Iron 60 W
The YATO YT-8272 soldering gun features a traditional design with a resistance heater, designed for direct connection to a wall outlet.
This device's straightforward design ensures minimal failure, and with proper maintenance of the soldering tip, it can last for many years.
The heater's power is sufficient for soldering two copper wires or basic electronics using through-hole assembly technology. The tip's thermal efficiency allows for effective heating and soldering of components on larger surfaces. The high-quality coated copper tip ensures faster heat accumulation and dissipation compared to standard tips, while the user-friendly two-component handle with an anti-slip feature enhances safety during use.

The soldering iron requires 2 to 3 minutes to heat up to 350°C.
Care Instructions for the Soldering Iron Tip
The tips of YATO soldering irons are coated with a material that reduces oxidation. Prolonged heating and mechanical damage can gradually wear down this protective layer, leading to rapid oxidation of the tip. This can result in issues with solder adherence; the tin will bead up and fall away instead of melting and bonding. A practical method for maintaining the tip is to tin it. When starting the soldering iron, apply a small amount of tin to the tip and remove any excess with brass shavings. This layer of tin acts as a barrier against oxidation, and it is advisable to tin the tip each time work is completed.
Important Note:
Cob soldering irons connected directly to a wall outlet must have a grounding pin and should be used with a grounded socket. Failure to properly ground the metal housing of the heater presents a risk of electric shock, which could result in burns at best. All YATO brand soldering irons are equipped with a grounding plug that is connected to the metal housing of the heater.
Safety Warnings:
Warning! Always use personal protective equipment while working.
