Resistance Soldering Iron 30W
The YATO soldering iron YT-8271 features a traditional design with a resistance heater that is powered directly from an AC outlet. Its simple construction makes it highly reliable, ensuring it will last for years with proper care of the soldering iron tip.
This soldering iron's power is sufficient for effectively soldering two copper wires or basic electronic components using through-hole assembly technology. The high-quality coated copper tip allows for faster heat accumulation and dissipation compared to standard tips, while the ergonomically designed two-component handle with anti-slip elements enhances safety during use.

The soldering iron takes approximately 3 minutes to heat up to 350°C.
Care Instructions for the Soldering Iron Tip
The tips of YATO soldering irons are coated with a material that minimizes oxidation. Long-term heating and mechanical damage can degrade this protective layer, causing the tip to oxidize quickly and leading to difficulties in melting solder joints. Instead of adhering to the tip, the solder can ball up and fall off. A proven method to maintain the tip is to apply solder at the beginning of each use. When first warming up the soldering iron, apply a little solder to the tip and remove the excess with brass shavings. This creates a protective tin layer against oxidation. It’s advisable to tin the tip at the end of each job.
Important Note
Soldering irons that are powered directly from an AC outlet should have a plug with a grounding pin and should be connected to a grounded outlet. Failing to ground the metal housing of the heater poses a risk of electric shock, which can lead to burns in the best-case scenario. All YATO brand soldering irons come with a grounded plug connected to the metal housing of the heater.
