Introducing the Still Module – Side Reception OLM by BROWIN, model code 341926. This module is designed for use with Browin stills, featuring a receiver, inspection glass, and precision valve for optimal distillation performance.

The OLM system operates on lowered reception, controlling distillate receipts instead of relying solely on heating and cooling.

Typically, the OLM module is installed with an Aabratek or Thor head, approximately 30-40 cm below the head.

At the top of the column, in the head and directly below it in the pool, lighter substances accumulate, such as higher alcohols, tails, fusels, and esters. Meanwhile, about 30 cm below, around the height of the reception cup in the OLM, pure ethyl alcohol gathers, received through the lowered side receiver.

The OLM works exclusively with prismatic springs, as only this filling has the necessary HEPT for achieving the required number of theoretical plates between the LM and OLM receivers.

OLM Module Installation:

• Place the filling support into the center of the connector, ensuring it rests against the side receiver cup.
• Install the inspection glass at the top of the connector.
• Distribute the prismatic springs over the entire setup (do not compact them!).
• Connect the OLM module to the column and condenser using the fixing bolts.

* Note: The support and the springs are not included and need to be purchased separately.

The distillation process using the OLM module differs slightly from the standard method, as it requires control over two receivers.
