For example, the accuracy of AC voltage measurement with a result of 235V is calculated as follows:
Measurement accuracy for this range is: ±(1% + 3), resolution 0.1V
Formula for calculating measurement error: (measurement result x 1%) + 3 x resolution
Calculation: (235 x 1%) + 3 x 0.1 = 2.35 + 0.3 = 2.65V
The result including measurement error for 235V indication = 235 ± 2.65V
The result including measurement error for DC voltage measurement indication: 12V = 12 ± 0.09V
The result including measurement error for AC current measurement indication: 8A = 8 ± 0.15A

Functions:
TRUE RMS - this function displays the true rms value of AC voltage/current. Unlike averaging meters, TRUE RMS devices provide correct values for distorted waveforms, such as those affected by higher harmonics, or square or triangular waveforms. This feature is essential where switching power supplies, motor inverter drives, HVAC systems, etc. are involved.
NCV - non-contact AC voltage detection using an inductive method. The meter detects the presence of voltage in an insulated conductor with the NCV sensor located on its front.
AUTO - automatic range adjustment for measuring unknown values. In case of a meter without AUTO function, you would need to measure sequentially from the highest to the lowest range, which might risk damaging the device. With AUTO function, simply making one measurement will let the meter automatically find the optimal range. It starts in AUTO mode by default.
SEL - allows switching between measurement modes, for instance from AC to DC voltage.
HOLD - freezes the currently measured value on the display.
