The VOREL spray gun with a 0.68L gravity flow cup is designed for performing paint work efficiently. Compressed air is essential for the proper operation of this gun, as it mixes paint particles from the tank with air at the nozzle outlet.
Getting Started
Using a wrench, tighten the nozzle securely. Check the tightness and reliability of the compressed air supply connections. Before connecting the air supply hose, blow it out to clear any debris. Ensure that the spray gun is properly cleaned and maintained before use and that the coating material tank is connected securely to prevent leaks.
Adjusting the Width of the Spray Jet
You can change the width and shape of the spray jet by rotating the air nozzle. The spray jet can be adjusted infinitely from a flat to a round shape as required. The coating material quantity adjustment knob sets the amount of coating material delivered to the air stream, while the spray adjustment knob controls the intensity of the mixture. It is recommended to adjust the mixture flow to achieve smaller particles of coating material for better surface distribution.
Working with the Gun
Maintain a distance of 10 to 15 cm between the gun outlet and the surface being coated. Keep the gun outlet perpendicular to the surface to ensure even application. Avoid curved movements, which may lead to uneven distribution of the coating material. It is preferable to apply several thin layers rather than a single thick layer for optimal results.
Adjust the airflow based on the type of coating material by using the air pressure control knob. If the gun lacks a pressure adjustment knob, you should adjust the pressure in the pneumatic system using a reducer.
Replacing the Nozzle
Ensure that you replace the entire nozzle set, which includes the coating material nozzle, firing pin, and air nozzle.
Needle Seal
During operation, periodically check the tightness of the firing pin seal. If there is significant wear, replace the seal during the regular inspection using a wrench to remove the seal assembly.
Cleaning and Maintenance
After completing your work, disconnect the spray gun from the compressed air system and empty any remaining coating material from the tank. Clean the tank thoroughly and ensure the entire coating material transfer path is clear, as improper cleaning can reduce performance. Clean the air nozzle with a brush dipped in solvent, but never submerge the entire gun in solvent. Avoid using hard objects to clean clogged orifices, as even minor internal damage can negatively affect the spray jet parameters. After cleaning, apply a small amount of lubricant to the moving parts of the seals. Tighten the coating material nozzle adequately to prevent leaks while ensuring smooth movement of the needle.
