The YATO Model YT-1964 Tin Snips are forged English-type scissors made from S55 steel, designed for cutting sheet metal effectively. With an overall length of 250 mm and a cutting length of 60 mm, these tin snips feature inductively hardened jaws, providing a hardness of 55-60 HRC. They are capable of cutting through various materials, including cold-rolled steel up to 1.2 mm thick, stainless steel up to 0.8 mm, hard steel (HRC35) up to 0.8 mm, and copper up to 1.8 mm.
Equipped with an easily removable spring, these snips offer enhanced ease of use by facilitating the opening of the handles and jaws, making it simpler to cut through metal sheets. The handles are covered with soft pads for added comfort during use.
