Clamp Converter YT-73090 YATO

The YATO Clamp Converter YT-73090 is a specialized clamp meter designed to measure AC current using the inductive method on a single wire. This device enables higher current measurements compared to traditional electric meters. It serves as a complementary accessory to the YT-73085 universal meter and is compatible with any universal meter capable of measuring in the millivolt range.

Measurement Accuracies:

An example of determining accuracy for AC current measurement can be calculated with a measurement result of 30 A:

• Measurement accuracy for the YT-73090 in this range is: ±(2% + 0.5), with a resolution of 1 A.
• Measurement error calculation formula: (measurement result x 2%) + 0.5 x resolution.
• Calculation: (30 x 2%) + 0.5 x 1 = 0.6 + 0.5 = 1.10 A.

The actual result, including measurement error for the indication of 30 A, is 30 ± 1.25 A.

Additional Information:

• Clamps can open up to 31 mm, allowing for measurement of a single wire with a maximum diameter of 20 mm.
• Two-stage measurement range adjustment: up to 200 A and up to 600 A.

Important!

Current measurements with clamp meters should only be performed on a single conductor. Clamping around a multi-conductor cable without isolating a single conductor will result in incorrect readings or a zero current flow.
